Allan Alonzo Francis
1945 - 2011 
Allan Alonzo Francis, 65, born September 17, 1945 to Alonzo C. and Lenore A. (Richins) Francis, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2011. He was a Valedictorian of the South High School Class of 1964 and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing basketball for South High. He served in the Southwest British Mission for the LDS Church. He received a B.S. Degree in Accouting from the University of Utah and remained a loyal "Ute" fan. He was also a member of the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir. He worked for many years as an accountant for several local banks followed by a long tenure at Aero-Graphics. Allan enjoyed golfing with his brothers, fishing with his family, and was an avid ESPN fan.
Allan is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Sharon Stout Francis, and his son, Blake Stout Francis. He is survived by his children, Melissa F. (Daniel) Thompson, Brett (Mary) Francis, and Anthony (Emily) Francis from his first marriage to Connie C. Frey; Ryan (Melody) Francis from hsi marriage to Sharon; 16 grandchildren (with one on the way); sisters, Sharon (Sam) Whitehead and Julie (Myron) Skousen; and brothers, Stan (Millie Kay) Francis and John (Elaine) Francis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 E. 10600 So., where a viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment Larkein Sunset Gardens. |
