Carolyn Fernandez
1945 - 1994 Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, wife and friend returned to her Heavenly Father May 30, 1994 following a 19-year bout with lupus. Born December 20, 1945 in Salt Lake City to Manual A. and Vera S. Fernandez. Preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Vera and Lily Fernandez and Dorothy Fernandex Pearson. Married her high school sweetheart, Clare A. Cressall, October 16, 1964 in Salt Lake City. She was employed at Zions Color as a secretary for one year, Pen-Ida Dist. for three years as a secretary, and KNAK Radio for six years as their traffic manager until her illness forced retirement. Carolyn had a great sense of humor, was always smiling and her bubbly personality lightened the lives of her many friends. She was loved by all who knew her. She dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed. We love you Carolyn. She is survived by her husband, Clare, two daughters, Mrs Bryan (Valerie) Kelly and Michelle; brother, William E. Fernandez; sister-in-law, Connie; sisters, Fran Green and Elena Trujilio; mother-in-law, Emma Cressall; sister-in-law Barbara Devenburg, Janet Titus, Ellen Stastny and Miriam Cook; brother-in-law, Lee Cressall and many special nieces and nephews. She grew to love Christ and develop a personal relationship, trusting fully in Him to endure the trials which came into her life. Funeral services held Friday, June 3, 1994, 2 p.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services, Interment: Redwood memorial Estates. |
