Cornelia Barendregt Moore
1946 - 2012

Bountiful-Cornelia (Corrie) Barendregt Moore, outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away June 22, 2012 in her homeland, The Netherlands, while serving an LDS mission with her beloved husband, Garth R. Moore. The couple resided in Bountiful, Utah. Corrie is survived by her husband, Garth and her three children, Christine Moore Scott, Richard J. Moore (Melodie Moore, spouse) and Carolyn Moore (Biya Buta, spouse). The couple has 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on June 30, 1946, Corrie immigrated with her parents, Leendert and Haddy Barendregt at the age of 10. She graduated from South High School and thereafter met and married Garth on July 9, 1966. The couple was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on June 15, 1967.

Corrie had many outstanding academic achievements including graduating Magna Cum Laude from Weber State College. She went on to receive a Masters Degree in Education from Brigham Young University. For over a decade, she used her education first teaching in the Granite School district and then as an Elementary school principal. Corrie was a creative and enthusiastic teacher who loved working with children.

Garth and Corrie loved spending time together traveling, RVing, attending plays and concerts, and going to BYU football games. Corrie loved quilting and creating beautiful keepsakes for friends and family. Corrie's passion, however, was in supporting her children and grandchildren in their many sports and school activities. She loved planning parties and get-togethers for them and made every occasion a grand event.

Corrie will be remembered for her undaunted spirit in the face of decades of physical trials, including battling the debilitating effects of Chron's disease. She continually gave compassion, support and dedicated service to her family, friends, and church callings. In particular, she loved serving in the temple as well as serving as an advisor in the Bountiful Special Needs Mutual program.

Corrie loved life, loved people and loved the gospel. She will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her life.
