LaMar Stout Heywood
1946 - 2008 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, LaMar Stout Heywood, 62, of Ephraim, Utah, passed away unexpectedly of a stroke on June 25, 2008, in Ephraim, Utah. He was born June 2nd, 1946 in Hurricane, Utah, to Gardner Leland and Wealthy Stout Heywood. He grew up in Hurricane, Utah and Sugar House in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years and fought in Vietnam. After serving in the Marines he worked as a Construction Superintendent traveling the United States and Canada. He married Susan Colleen Martin in 1966. They were married for 10 years and had two daughters, Natalie and Deborah. On October 21st 1977 he married Yasmin Ferrawey. They continued to travel and build Mormon churches settling for a short time in Hurricane, Utah to raise Natalie and Debi during their High School years. They again continued to travel finally settling again in Hauula, Hawaii for 17 years. Where they raised their five other children, Kristen, Nathan, Cheyenne, Spencer, and Dylan. LaMar was a loving husband to Yasmin for 30 years. He deeply loved his wife and children. His life was encompassed by service to his family and all those who crossed his path. LaMar was always willing to do anything to help another. When he wasn't working or helping someone in need, LaMar loved to make others laugh. He brought so much joy to anyone who was privileged to be part of his life. He is survived by his wife Yasmin, Ephraim; children, Natalie (Dean) Lenzora, Las Vegas; Deborah (Ronald) Larsen, Las Vegas; Kristen Keikilani Heywood, Nathaniel Kapono Heywood, Cheyenne Anela Heywood, LaMar Spencer Heywood, and Dylan Kokua Heywood, all of Ephraim; eight grandchildren; siblings, Ron (Claudia) Heywood, Hurricane; Jo Ann (Lynn, deceased) Hagan, Salt Lake City; Dorothy (Jim) Harman, Hurricane; Robert (Mavis) Heywood, Hurricane; Maureen (Lamar) Beatty, Oregon; Roger (Candy), Hurricane; Steve (Carol) Heywood, Bountiful; Vinetta (Orlo) Eyre, Provo; and Colleen (Steve) Kirkland, West Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Hurricane 10th LDS Ward Chapel, Hurricane, Utah. Burial will be in the Hurricane Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion Sterling-Russell Post #100. Funeral directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina, and Manti. |
