Linda Lee Koplin Therkelsen
1945 - 1997

Our beautiful precious mother, loving grammy, daughter, sister, aunt, Angel and very dear friend, Linda Lee Koplin Therkelsen, 52, along with our hard-working father, loving gramps, son, brother, uncle and special friend, Otto F. Therkelsen, Jr. 53, suddenly and unexpectedly began their journey into a world of eternal peace, happiness and love, Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997.

"Mother Goose" was born December 18, 1945, in Salt Lake City, UT to William Henry and Afton Louise Koplin. "Pops" was born on March 25, 1944, in Salt Lake City, UT. to Otto F. Therkelsen, Sr. and Lela Mary Kendall Therkelsen. Mom and Dad married December 21, 1963 and resided close to their families in Taylorsville, Utah for the last 22 years. Our beautiful mother Angel loved her family dearly and happiness was mom's main wish in life. She had a love of angels, yellow roses and butterflies. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, dancing, country music and spoiling those she loved. She was an avid Utah Ute and Denver Bronco fan. She had touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she so gently touched. You are now free mom, as free as the butterfly you so desired to be.

Our strong, hard-working father was driver to succeed in life. All of dad's time, attention and energy was given to his ultimate goal in life, which he achieved and is now 22 years strong, highly respectable and successful, Otto's Auto & Marine, Inc. Work was dad's life! Failure was not in dad's vocabulary. He worked because he loved to work. His passion to tinker with cars, a successful drag racing career, and the determination to succeed drove him to become one of Utah's most reputable businessmen. Dad himself touched the lives of many and will be missed by numerous amounts of distinguished friends and business associates. Dad's name and his business will carry on and live within our hearts forever.

Our parents are survived by us three blessed children, son, Otto "Kendall" (Loretta) Therkelsen, daughters, Kerrie (Larry) Baum, Kay (Greg) Gleason, five cherished grandchildren, Bryan, Miles, Krystle, Ashlie and Samantha.
