Lionel Hemmingsen 1945 - 2008 Lionel P. Hemmingsen "What's Happenin" Lionel P. Hemmingsen, raised in Salt Lake, mainly by a loving Mother, succumbed to cancer Nov. 28, 2008 one week before turning 63, saying toward the end, "This is no way to live." And Lionel did know how to live and enjoy life! (Not that his days were always smooth as he had baggage tagging along as most of us do.) He had a quick wit, told spell-binding stories, made instant friendships, enjoyed people, had lady-killer crystal blue eyes, was a talented catcher who loved to play baseball, loved the Wasatch Mountains, and took pride in his family - these gifts Lionel shared with us.
