Monte C. Hansen
Apr. 17, 1946 - Apr. 15, 2001 SALT LAKE CITY, UT-Monte C. Hansen, beloved husband and father completed his earthly journey surrounded by his family and friends on Easter Sunday, April 15 2001, after a long illness with cancer, which he courageously battled with grace and great dignity. Monte was born April 17, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Marian Hansen. Being raised in a military family, Monety had the opportunity to see much of the world. He graduated from South High in 1964, then attended the U of U and San Jose State College. Above all Monte loved spending time with his soul mate, Linda and his two boys. His hobbies included travelling, boating, skiing, and sharing time with friends. He worked as a real estate broker and operated his own company for over 25 years. Monte is survived by his devoted wife Linda, of 32 years; two sons, Monte Travis and Chad Aaron; brother, Steve (Venice) Hansen; sister, Sherrie Hansen; several nieces and nephews; whom he loved greatly; and his father and mother-in-l;aw, Harry and Phyllis Wiseman. So He put His arms around you And whispered, "Come with me" With tearful eyes We watched you suffer And saw you fade away. Although we love you dearly We could not make you stay. A "Golden Heart" stopped beating Gentle hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes 'The Best' We Love You! Funeral services will be held Thurs. April 19th, 2001, 11 a.m. in the Millcreed LDS 9th Ward Chapel, 4220 S. 420 E., Salt Lake City. Friends may call on Wed, April 18th from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. Salt Lake City, and on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Chapel. Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Midway City Cemetery. |
